They are pack animals, shed furs almost all year round and each dog has their own personalitity and history. Owning/parenting this kind of breeds are challenging that needs a special home with an individual or families that will give extra time in understanding them, give the exercise they need and provide them with LOTS of unconditional love.

Woof Den Rescue is a nonprofit organization that rescues huskies and most herding breeds from situations of abuse, neglect, abandonment, or homelessness. We are out of San Juan Bautista, CA, but they have volunteers throughout the state of California. We have adopted out over 215 dogs since 2019.

Some of the services and programs that Woof Den Rescue offers are:

*Shelter and foster care: We provide a safe and comfortable environment for the dogs We rescue in foster homes. We also supply food, bedding, toys, and other essentials.

*Medical care and spay/neuter: We ensure that the dogs they rescue receive proper veterinary care, including vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, and spay/neuter surgeries. We also treat any injuries or illnesses that the dogs may have.

*Rehabilitation and training: We help the dogs they rescue overcome any behavioral issues or special needs that they may have, such as separation anxiety, aggression, or fearfulness. We also teach them basic obedience and socialization skills.

*Adoption and post-adoption support: We match the dogs we rescue with suitable and permanent homes, where they can thrive and be happy. We also provide ongoing support and guidance to the adopters, and follow up on the dogs’ well-being.
